What's going on?

It's Adam's 40^th birthday and he's really into those "solve a crime like you're Sherlock Holmes detective games", so we're throwing him a surprise event where he gets to be the detective in an elaborate murder mystery.

Around 2pm, Adam will be hanging out with his friend Faye who'll starting talking weirdly, calling herself Watson and him Sherlock. Suddenly, there's a knock on his door! It's the wealthy Lady Adelaide who found one of the flyers Sherlock left around town and has a case for him to solve. Adam had no idea about any of this happening, so hopefully he plays along!

To solve the case, Adam will need to run around town meeting all sorts of other characters, extracting information from them, inspecting crime scene, solving clues, and discovering himself embroiled in a plot that just keeps on escalating and twisting.

Once Adam has solved the crime (or at 5:30pm at the latest), we will all converge on the final venue (the victim's funeral) and the local police inspector will prompt Adam to reveal who dunnit, why they dunnit and how they dunnit. Then the show's over and it's all after party.

The main characters for this elaborate production are all in place and everyone has been working hard to make this an awesome experience. The whole day will be live-streamed by Watson who will be following Adam/Sherlock around. You could watch the stream from home, but we'd rather you got involved as one of the characters Adam meets. The whole thing is set in modern day Inuvik, so there's no need to dress up or do anything fancy, just follow the instructions below to get involved.

How can I get involved?

There are two venues that Adam will go to repeatedly (tavern and Scotland Yard)). Just come to one of those venues before 2:30pm and the venue coordinators will give you a role to play (e.g., bar patron) and suggest clues you could give Adam if he speaks to you.

While Adam's not at your venue, we'll have his live stream playing on a big TV and will just hang out and laugh at his adventures. Don't worry, it'll be mostly chill hang out with only a teeny bit of acting.

Alternatively, watch the live stream from home and just come for the reveal and after party at The Funeral (at 5:30pm, or it could be earlier if Adam solves the mystery fast).
